Enchanting Colorized Photos Breathe New Life Into History

Some pretty remarkable work by this young gentleman, Dana Keller. I’m intrigued, because my mom used to do this for a living back in the 30s. I have some baby pictures that have been colorized with this same technique.  I’ve painted some oil paintings from old photos but never tried to color the photographs themselves.

As primitive as the equipment was, the earliest cameramen were  able to capture beauty in a most remarkable way. Nice touch to add a bit of color and restore a dying art.
